…in the neighborhood
After a looonnnngggg week at school, Hubster and I usually visit a local restaurant to enjoy a light-ish evening meal. We have a few regular places and they actually know our names and the items we frequently order. We usually head home satisfied. Well a few weeks back, I noticed that a new restaurant had finally opened its doors. This week we took the bold step of giving it a try without a recommendation.
It was an excellent move, and I will take all the credit. The Italian colors meatball appetizer was so delicious I saved some of the sauce to dip my pizza. We also had some of the best fried calamari we have had in years. The restaurant has a full Italian menu, but we ordered the pizza.
This pizza was so good that when Peggy Anne came down from Delaware on Saturday we ordered take-out of the same pizza even though we had four slices left over in the refrigerator from the night before.
Shrimp Lemoncello again….
Peggy Anne agreed the pizza was spectacular, but she did remind us that the last time she came to visit we also had pizza and it was equally delicious. She even had a photo of it.
It seems pizza is a
crusty trusty “go to” for our menu.
I want to thank everyone for the nice comments knowing that this school year has been more challenging than any other. Unfortunately, I am entering first quarter report card season which means writing comments instead of writing on my blog….I’ll get there on way or another.
Have a great week!
